Scholarship provider: Yücel Cultural Foundation

Support for every stage of language education

Through the collaboration between the Yücel Cultural Foundation and language schools, part of the course fees of young people awarded the Foreign Language Scholarship is covered by the Yücel Cultural Foundation. The remaining amount is paid by the scholarship recipient.

Scholarship support continues at the next level of the same language for recipients who successfully complete each level.

Applications may be submitted on any day of the year.

Result announcement dates

Scholarship results are announced on October 1, 2026, and April 1, 2027.

How do the application and selection processes work?

Online application

Applications for the Yücel Cultural Foundation Foreign Language Scholarship are submitted using the application form on bursverenler.org.

Scholarship Committee review

Applications are reviewed by the Yücel Cultural Foundation Scholarship Committee, and recipients are selected according to the available quota.

Choosing a language school

After being notified, selected recipients choose the language school they wish to attend and inform the Yücel Cultural Foundation of their decision.

Eligibility criteria

Who can apply?

All young people aged 18-26 may apply.
Applicants are not required to be university students.
Applicants may apply for only one foreign language.
Duplicate applications are not considered and may negatively affect the application process.
Recipients who meet the required success criteria may continue to receive scholarship support up to their desired level in the same foreign language.
The foreign language for which the scholarship is awarded cannot subsequently be changed.

Scope of the scholarship

Scholarship amount and payment method

TRY 10,000 for each level

During the 2026-2027 academic year, scholarship support of TRY 10,000 is provided for each of the A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 and C2 levels.

Payment directly to the institution

At the end of each term, the scholarship amount is paid directly to the language education institution upon submission of an invoice.

Additional support for achievement

For recipients who complete a level with a success rate of 80% or higher, the scholarship amount for the next level is increased to TRY 12,000.

Fees exceeding the scholarship amount

Any portion of the language school's fee exceeding the scholarship amount must be paid by the recipient.

Choosing a language school: Recipients may choose the language school they wish to attend. The scholarship amount covered by the Yücel Cultural Foundation is determined annually by the Yücel Cultural Foundation Board of Directors.

Attendance and achievement requirements

Recipients must attend at least 60% of classes

Recipients must attend at least 60% of their classes. If the attendance requirement is not met, the recipient is required to repay the scholarship amount provided.

Days missed due to health issues are excluded from the attendance requirement.
