Support for research, studies and projects

The Master's and Doctoral Scholarship is open to researchers, project owners and individuals pursuing a master's or doctoral degree who are not older than 33 on the application date.

Research, studies and projects in any scientific discipline that contribute to the development of the country may be considered under this program.

Scope of support

The support amount and duration are determined for each application

Full requested amount

The Yücel Cultural Foundation Board of Directors may cover the full amount of support requested by the applicant.

Partial support

A portion of the amount requested in the application may be covered.

More than the requested amount

The Board of Directors may provide more support than requested when deemed necessary.

Extended support period

The duration of the support may be extended by a decision of the Board of Directors.

Eligibility requirements

Who can apply?

  • Researchers and project owners may apply.
  • Individuals pursuing a master's or doctoral degree may apply.
  • Applicants must not be older than 33 on the application date.
  • Applicants are not required to be enrolled in an institute.
  • There is no application deadline. Applications may be submitted at any time of the year.
  • Applications remain valid for 12 months.

Application

What you need to prepare

Online application

Apply for the Yücel Cultural Foundation Master's and Doctoral Scholarship using the application form on bursverenler.org.

Petition

Prepare a petition explaining your reason for applying, field of study and support request.

Project and research documents

Attach a detailed explanation of your project or research, a feasibility report, a cost table and any other documents that clarify your application.

Additional files: If project or budget files exceed the upload capacity of the website, they may be sent to the Yücel Cultural Foundation by email or other means. There is no file size limit. Common formats such as .pdf, .doc and .xls are accepted.

Evaluation process

How are applications evaluated?

Scholarship Committee review

The application is first reviewed by the Yücel Cultural Foundation Scholarship Committee.

Board of Directors agenda

Eligible applications are placed on the agenda of the Yücel Cultural Foundation Board of Directors, which meets once a month. The applicant is notified if the application is placed on the agenda.

Decision notification

The positive or negative decision is communicated within 10 business days following the relevant meeting.

Support the scholarship

Support researchers through a Piggy Bank Donation

Those wishing to support Master's and Doctoral Scholarship recipients may contribute to research, studies and projects by making a Piggy Bank Donation to the Yücel Cultural Foundation. The minimum Piggy Bank Donation amount is TRY 1.
